Laurel (MS) Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide assistance to our community, state, and world. Our illustrious sisterhood assures that all human kind are treated as equals and not as individuals. To assure that the Sorority reaches everyone, the sponsored programs and events focus on our Five Point Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, & Political Awareness and Involvement. The Laurel Alumnae Chapter was established on November 12, 1966. Laurel Alumnae is small in numbers, but are diverse in age and educational background. Our driven purpose is to serve our community’s youth, elder, and underserved in our service areas, Jones and Jasper counties.
